Old & First Growth with Gary Mead

Every Third Wednesday we have Wood Artist, Gary Mead on the show to discuss a native tree, or something else forest-related. This month we'll be discussing Old & First Growth Trees. I'll go a little bit into deciphering the difference between "old growth" from "first growth" forests and where they might exist in the Catskills. Gary will talk more about old trees from around the world, working with old wood, & other unique characteristics too.

Gary is the former owner of Fruitful Furnishings Sawmill & current owner of Gary Mead Gallery in Margaretville, Delaware County. He was born & raised on a dairy farm in New Kingston, Town of Middletown, Delaware County.
