Back in June, we interviewed Catskill Mountain Woodsman--Hoppy Quick--on his perspective of "Sustaining Local." We discussed some of the challenges and conditions people are encountering making a living locally in the forest & outside it in these mountains.

Gary Mead--like Hoppy--is another local who has made his living "from the forest." He was the owner of Fruitful Furnishings Sawmill & is the current owner of Gary Mead Gallery which specializes in one-of-a-kind wood art. We'll get Gary's take on "Sustaining Local."
